Elmer Rolloff, Jr., 91 of New Ulm died unexpectedly Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Elmer is survived by his wife, Marlene, two daughters, two sons, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He and Marlene celebrated 68 years of marriage in January. Rolloff received the Hub Club Service to Agriculture award in 1998. A Korean War veteran, Elmer took over his dad’s business, Rolloff Electric, when his dad died in 1968 and operated it until his last day. Elmer was well known in the area for his sense of humor, his stories, and willingness to give the shirt off his back or give advice to anyone in need.
